To My Darling Shannon
April 26, 1999

You have eyes that sparkle like Spring's blue sky.
They crinkle with laughter as I tickle your thigh.
Your little hands grasp at my hair with such pleasure.
Shannon my dear, there is no greater treasure.

My love for you began before you took your first breath
And will fill my heart with its warmth right up to my death.
My butterfly kisses on your rose petal cheek,
Slowly I rock you to sleep.

How Do I Spell Samantha?
April 29, 1997

S is for my silly girl who loves to be chased.

A is for the angelic look in sleep upon her face.

M is for the mouth that leaves wet kisses on my cheek.

A is for a sweetie pie who runs and plays hide-and-seek.

N is for no-no-no, a word I hate to say.

T is for "Thank you", which I hear every day.

H is for her golden hair, and ha-ha-ha in laughter.

A is for always,

which is how long

I'll love my darling daughter.
